Does Space Have a Smell?

Apparently, yes. Or at least our Solar System does. Astronauts returning from spacewalks have often reported a smell similar to burning metal on resealing the airlock. Other scents mentioned include “a distinct odor of ozone, an acrid smell,” “walnuts and brake pads,” “gunpowder” and “burnt almond cookie.”

Source, and possible explanations about these odours can be found here: https://science.howstuffworks.com/space-smell.htm
